How am I notified to approve a domain name transfer request?

Once a domain transfer request is initiated, a ‘Transfer Request Authorization’, also known as a ‘Form of Authorization’ (FOA) is sent via email to the administrative contact for the domain name as listed in the WHOIS database.  This authorization request form gives specific information and instructions about the awaiting domain name transfer.

To approve the domain name transfer request, you need to click on the ‘Approve Transfer’ button within the email to verify your identity and proceed with the transfer.  Transfer approval is time sensitive and must be done by the date provided in the FOA email.

If you do not want to approve the domain name transfer request, do not respond to the email. Any unapproved requests will automatically expire a week after the request was made.
