Periodically reconciling your domain portfolio is good practice. Keeping an updated portfolio will guarantee that your prices are valid, and inventory is up to date. This article will help guide you through the steps to reconcile your Market account.
Adding New Inventory
The best way to start reconciling your Market account is to first create a new portfolio and add your updated list of names and prices into this portfolio.
To do this, log into your Uniregistry account and click on the "Market" tab from the top menu.
From the left-hand navigation bar, select “Market Domains” and then “All Domains”.
Click the blue "Domain Tools" button and select "Add Domains" from the drop-down menu.
In this example, we are going to copy and paste our updated inventory from an external list using the "Paste Names" method.
- An external list in this case could be an excel spreadsheet, or any external file that you use to keep track of your domains and their prices.
Copy and paste the domains from your external source into the text box, followed by a comma, space, and then the price:
- Example: reconcile1.xyz, 1000
If you are unsure of the formatting, you can click the “Check Format” button to see if the data in the text box is correct.
Since we are reconciling our account, we will want to create a new portfolio to put this list of updated inventory in.
Click the “Uncategorized” drop-down menu and choose “Create New Portfolio”. Fill out the relevant information on the resulting screen and then click the green “Create Portfolio” button.
Once the correct portfolio has been selected, click the green "Add Domains" button.
You can then verify that the domains have been added by clicking the green “View Domains Added” button in the resulting screen.
- Note: Some domains that you have added in this update may have already been listed in other portfolios in your Market account. If this is the case, they will automatically be moved from the old portfolio(s) into the new one you created during this reconcile process.
Deleting Old Inventory
Now that we have a new portfolio with our updated domains and prices, we can delete the remaining domains left over in our older portfolio(s).
Click the “Market Domains” tab from the left-hand menu and again select the "All Domains".
Click the "Domain Tools" button and select "Remove Domains" from the drop-down menu.
Click the "Select Portfolios" tab and select all of your old portfolios. Click the red "Remove Domains" button and then the green "Remove Selected" button from the resulting screen.
Deleting Old Portfolios
Now that all of the domains have been removed from these old portfolios, we can go ahead and delete them.
Click the “Market Domains” tab from the left-hand menu and select an old portfolio.
Click the pencil icon beside the portfolio name, click the red “Delete Portfolio” button in the resulting screen, and then the green “Delete Portfolio” button in the following screen.
- Repeat this process for all remaining empty portfolios.
