What is the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)?

Overview of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): 

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a state law enacted on January 1, 2020 to provide more privacy rights and consumer protection for residents in California, United States of America (USA). You can find further information about CCPA at https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa.


What data does Uni collect?

I want to make a request for my account/data to be deleted:

You can send us your request by emailing us at Privacy@Uniregistry.com. We advise that the request be sent from the same email address that you signed up for an account*. We will respond to your request within 10 days and fulfill it before 45 days unless an extension is necessary. 

*Please note: We must be able to verify account ownership in order to proceed. If you contact us from a different email address to the one you set up your account with, we may require further information from you or be unable to process your request. 


I want to exercise my right to know or other rights afforded under CCPA:

You can send your request to Privacy@Uniregistry.com and we will be happy to help. Your message will be responded to within 10 working days.


A website where Uniregistry is the domain registrar is not abiding by CCPA, what can I do?

Uniregistry does not provide hosting services and is no way related to the content displayed on a domain. You can contact Abuse@Uniregistry.com and the abuse team will forward your response onto the registrant or you can find the registrants' data (where applicable) by visiting Uniregistry.com/whois and entering the domain name. Send your request to the ‘Registrant Email’. In addition, you can contact the hosting company and submit a complaint.
